Untitled is a personal writing guide operated by Weston Wing-Girot in Utah, United States. This notice explains the information involved when you visit untitledguide.com. It applies to this site, not to websites you choose to visit through its links.

For privacy questions or requests, use Weston’s contact page. It is on a separate website, with its own services and privacy practices. Please mention Untitled and include only the information needed to explain your request.

Searching and using the guide

The guide’s searches run in your browser. Untitled does not send what you type to a search provider, save a search history, or use your searches to build a profile. Word-list filters and interactive checklists are temporary page state; the site does not save them to cookies or browser storage.

You do not need an account to read the guide. There are no payment forms, newsletter sign-ups, comment forms, or advertising and visitor-analytics scripts in this site’s own code.

What happens when a page loads

Delivering a website involves technical information such as your IP address, the page or file requested, request time, and browser or device details. The hosting and delivery services may process this information to serve pages, keep the site secure, and diagnose errors.

Untitled is published through ChatGPT Sites, with Cloudflare infrastructure used for delivery. These providers may process technical information under their own service arrangements and privacy notices. See OpenAI’s privacy notice and Cloudflare’s privacy notice for information about those providers. Their notices do not replace this notice for Untitled.

Fonts and external dictionary lookups

The New Atten typeface is delivered by Adobe Fonts. Your browser connects to Adobe’s font servers, which receive your IP address and information about the font request. Adobe states that its web-font service does not set or use cookies to serve fonts and does not store the IP address received for font delivery. See Adobe’s Fonts privacy notice.

Showing a dictionary suggestion does not contact Merriam-Webster. If you select a lookup, the word or phrase becomes part of the address opened on Merriam-Webster’s website. That website receives the lookup and the usual connection information, and its own privacy notice applies. Avoid putting private or sensitive information into an external lookup.

Cookies and similar technologies

Untitled’s own code does not set cookies, use local or session storage, fingerprint visitors, or install advertising or analytics trackers. Your browser may cache ordinary site files, such as images and styles, to load pages efficiently.

The hosting or security platform may use technologies needed to deliver or protect the site. Those are separate from the guide’s searches and interactive features. External websites you open may use their own cookies. You can manage cookies and stored site data through your browser’s privacy settings.

There is no optional tracking to accept or reject in the current guide, so it does not display a cookie-consent banner. If optional tracking or other consent-requiring features are introduced, their controls and this notice will be updated before those features are enabled where consent is needed.

Why information is used and who receives it

Technical information supports page delivery, security, and troubleshooting. If you contact Weston, the information you choose to send is used to answer you, investigate the issue, and keep a relevant record of the conversation. It may pass through the contact website and communication providers used to handle your message.

Untitled does not sell personal information, share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, or use it for automated decisions about you. Service providers may process information for the purposes described above; information may also be disclosed when the law requires it or to address a security or legal issue.

Where a legal basis is required, the intended basis for essential delivery, security, and responding to messages is the legitimate interest in operating this guide and answering requests, subject to applicable law and your rights. Processing needed to meet a legal duty relies on that duty. Optional processing that requires consent would rely on your consent.

Retention, location, and security

Untitled does not keep a server-side search history or a database of reader accounts. Correspondence is kept only as long as reasonably needed to answer the request, handle follow-up, resolve a dispute, or meet a legal obligation. Provider-controlled technical records are subject to the providers’ retention practices; this site does not promise a particular deletion period for records it does not control.

Weston operates the guide from the United States. Hosting, font, and communication providers may process information in the United States or other countries where they operate. Applicable protections can vary by location. The site uses HTTPS, but no internet service can promise absolute security.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live and which laws apply, you may have rights to ask for access, correction, deletion, or a copy of personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You may also have a right to complain to your local privacy regulator. A right that does not apply under local law is not presented here as a statutory entitlement.

Send a request through Weston’s contact page. Explain the request and its connection to Untitled. Reasonable information may be needed to verify your identity, and a request can only cover information held or controlled by the recipient. Please do not send identity documents unless they are needed and specifically requested.

Younger readers

This is a general-audience writing reference. It does not offer children’s accounts or ask readers to submit personal information. Untitled does not knowingly solicit personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent personal information in connection with this guide, contact Weston so the situation can be reviewed and the information deleted where appropriate.

Changes to this notice

The date below identifies this version. If the site’s data practices change, this notice will be updated to explain them. A policy update does not substitute for consent when consent is required.
