artificial intelligence (AI)
Word list · A
Use artificial intelligence in lowercase and AI in uppercase. Spell it out on first mention when readers may not know the abbreviation. AI covers many kinds of systems; it is not another name for ChatGPT or for every chatbot. Name what the tool does when that is more useful than the label.
Example: The app uses artificial intelligence (AI) to suggest captions.
When referring to a specific product or interface, match its actual labels and official names.
